Mr. Olaoluwa John Adeleke, a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at the University of New Orleans, United States, recently shared his journey with Africa Giant.
His transition from Nigeria’s polytechnic system to an American doctoral program involved delayed responses, visa interviews, funding anxieties, and documentation hurdles. Yet Adeleke found direction in an unexpected place: Nigeria’s electrical challenges. The everyday power interruptions he witnessed were not frustrations to endure but research questions to investigate.
In America, he accesses advanced laboratories, grid monitoring tools, and research collaborations to develop solutions for Nigeria’s power challenges.
