    Zindzi Thompson became the youngest Black Female graduate of medicine in America in May 2022. The 21-year-old young woman from South Carolina made history as the youngest person to graduate from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and the youngest Black female graduate of medicine in America.

    Coming from a family of doctors, her curiosity about the profession had advanced. Zindzi applied to Meharry Medical College right after she graduated from high school and started her academic journey there shortly thereafter. While attending Meharry, Zindzi worked hard and stayed focused on her goals; an impressive feat for someone so young.

    “I have always wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember, there’s nothing else that I wanted to be,” Zindzi told News Channel 5.

    Zindzi Thompson’s accomplishments are inspiring, and she is proof that with dedication and perseverance, anyone can achieve their dreams. By graduating in medicine at such a young age, Zindzi has set the bar high for others and will continue to inspire the future generation for years to come.
